Director, Research and Academics and Member of the Executive Committee at al-Mawrid, Institute of Islamic Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan (www.al-mawrid.org). Working to organize research at-Mawrid in accordance with international standards of research and writing. Also running and developing programmes for the academic training of research and academic faculty at al-Mawrid with the specific aim of producing enough PhDs in the field to begin an internationally recognized graduate studies programme at al-Mawrid as a premier research institute. Currently, also responsible for non-scholarly journal and website publications at al-Mawrid. Also, working on the completion of four books, including a comparative study of the interpretive approaches and Weltanschauungs of Abū al-‘Alā Mawdūdī (1903-1979) and Jāvēd Ahmad Ghāmidī based on the Master’s thesis at McGill (2004), which was placed on the Dean’s Honour Roll by the unanimous recommendation of top-notch scholars as Prof. Dr Qasim Zaman (Brown University, US), Prof. Dr Mumtaz Ahmad (Hampton, US), Prof. Dr Sheila McDonough (Concordia, Canada), and Prof. Dr S. S. Alvi (McGill).

Sept. 1999- Permanent Faculty Member (Lecturer), Social Sciences Department, Lahore University of Management Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan (LUMS; www.lums.edu.pk). Teaching courses related to Islam and communication skills at undergraduate and Islamic ethics in business at graduate levels (MBA).
 
Sept. 1991-

Have also served in various capacities earlier at al-Mawrid for different periods of time as a faculty member, writer, vice-president and editor (Renaissance, a journal of the institute; www.renaissance.com.pk).  Have published widely in areas related to Islam.. Some proposals for improvement of education and economy have been solicited by relevant governmental departments and ministries.
 

1989 -

Wide teaching experience of about 15 years; have taught at some of the best national and international educational institutions as the Civil Services Academy, National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA),  Pakistan Administrative Staff College, the Punjab University (various institutes and departments), and McGill University (Montreal, Canada) – to name a few. Some of the undergraduate senior research projects supervised at LUMS were highly acclaimed for their standard, both nationally as well as internationally (2005).
