Wanderings

In me poesy shall you find love with all its faces
All the joys that spring forth, all burdens it places

In heart’s shrine bury, let not your feelings be revealed
Oft love would stand profaned, were it not concealed

In my love’s veil hide, let not yourself be so revealed
Oft beauty is profaned if in modesty not concealed

My verses, ruby tears that my heart sends to plead
For them to flow more, the heart must more bleed

‘Tis poesy don’t want I, for on me sorrow does it feed
It flows from my heart when love makes it bleed

No Taj could I build, in no annals shall I be
An unknown soldier I, just true to love I’ll be
